Naturopathic Billing

Catalyst Natural Health

Christina Lee, ND & Hoan Chung, ND

Service:

Consultation fees are determined by a combination of level of medical complexity, number of health conditions being managed, complication risk, procedures performed and time spent.

It is expected that payment will be made at the time of service.  Forms of payment include cash, checks, Visa or Mastercard.

Labs and testing will be sent out to nearby laboratories where most insurances are accepted and bill the patient directly.

For auto accident recovery services:

Catalyst Natural Health will take Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and works with most auto insurance companies and/or law firms for auto-accident recovery.

For all other healthcare services:

Our mission at Catalyst Natural Health is to provide affordable integrative health care to as many people as possible.  Health insurance companies are not required to contract and/or reimburse Naturopathic Doctors for their health services in the state of Washington.

Patients typically pay for their consultation first, then after the visit you will receive a "superbill". A "superbill" is a coded claim fee statement you may submit directly to your insurance company for reimbursement.  Because our providers are not contracted with insurance companies, this ensures your doctor will make medical decisions that are in your best health interest and not based on health insurance policies, without waiting to be “pre-approved”.

Superbill:

A "superbill" is a fee statement form that is completed by a medical practitioner that allows patients the opportunity to get reimbursed directly from their health insurance company.

A "superbill" does not guarantee that an insurance provider will pay for all or some of the services provided.  Naturopathic Doctors are usually considered "out-of-network".  Typical reimbursement is around 50%-60%.  Each individual insurance plan is different, so please contact your insurance provider to find out what exactly will be covered.

How to send a Superbill for reimbursement:

  • Your Naturopathic Doctor can give you a Superbill after your visit.

  • Ask your insurance company to reimburse you for Naturopathic Medicine.

  • Mail or submit online (depending on your company) the following:

    • The superbill you received from your naturopathic doctor.

    • A photocopy of your insurance ID card, front and back.

  • Keep a photocopy of all the documents you send in for your records.
